Castle Stuart Golf Course

Castle Stuart opened for the first time 2 years ago. This year it hosted the Scottish Open for the first of a three year contract. It's builder and co-designer, Mark Parsinen, was one of the two men behind the concept and development of Kingsbarns. Kingsbarns is unquestionably the most successful new golf development in Scotland in a few generations.  Both are first class golf courses.

Castle Stuart has wide fairways and little high rough, but to score well the ball has to be driven to the correct place, often close to the dangerous shore line. Each green has been set magnificently with a beautiful backdrop highlighting a part of our magnificent scenery. The views beyond as you approach each are truly stunning.

Have a look at the pictures below. I think they will tell you this is probably going to be one of the best experiences you have ever had playing golf

Along with Dornoch and Nairn, this courses is among the best in the world. Castle Stuart claims to have been conceived for the Highlands

"a beacon reaching out to golfers
throughout the world. Castle Stuart’s goal is to add to the rich fabric of golf in the Scottish Highlands - a fabric made rich by Royal Dornoch, Nairn, Brora and many other fine golf clubs".

If you look at the pictures below which I've copied from their web site who could say they are wrong? For a new course this is a truly great achievment.
