Practice and Leisure Facilities At Drynie.
Tune up your short game on our Short Iron Practice Range .
I am sure you know how to do this. Take out your 9 iron, wedge, gap wedge, sand iron and lob wedge. Hit 10 balls with each and measure the average distance you get from each club. Then shorten the grip, swing to parallel with the ground, and do it again. Again measure the average distance. You end up with a chart giving you the correct club, and swing to use, for every 5 to 7.5 yards between 50 and 125yards.
Putting. (For 2010 season).
We are adding 180 m2 of nylon all weather putting surface for you to use to tune up your putts on these huge greens. When you can lag the putt to 2 ft, you're in business.
Golf Simulator. (For 2010 season).
You understand, it never actually rains in the North of Scotland, and therefore rain has nothing to do with our decision to instal a state of the art golf simulator. We just thought you'd enjoy it.
Oh, it does swing analysis as well!
Three Golf Holes.
It is our intention to add a Par Four and two Par Threes to one of our paddocks. While the grass cutting for that will be maintained through 2009, (making some shots on the course p ossible, it will be 2011 before the greens are in place and playable. (For 2011 season).
Basketball.
A small basketball court is located beside our Games Room.
Billiards and Snooker.
There is a full sized Billiards Table in our Games Room, expertly set up with a brand new cloth which we iron regularly.
Darts and Table Football.
In short, we don't think you'll get bored at Drynie!
